Holy cow! I'm out there splitting my wood and firing my stove myself, and your wives are complaining about ashes on the carpets? Kick their whiny butts to the curb guys! Would they rather get a job to cover the oil bill instead of have to clean up ashes once in awhile? Put them on snow blower duty this winter until they get how much you're doing for them by keeping them toasty.
