You guys hit the nail on the head with my fire moving up the grate and burning out the gear motor.
Grate has been removed and properly cemented so there is no air escaping. Today is the first fire in over a week (ah warmth!) Now the fire is moving
DOWN the grate trying to fall in ash pan. I have moved the feed control for less coal feed. When
the gear motor was replaced the feed control was cleaned and moved from it's position of many years. Is this the right
thing to do? Thanks! Kola
