    It helped that it was already cut up. This was the second load from my free craiglist score. I had an hour. 15 minutes each way, then loading for 30 minutes

    Some type of oak. Hard to tell it is real dirty and I have not had the time to really look.

    Looks like oak, but oak that was sitting in water.

    Reminds me of my Sandy wood that needs to be split, after being covered in snow from the blizzard 3 weeks ago.

    Exactly. It was at the back of a drive way, that was on the down hill side of a hill, and it had been raining for a week straight before I got it, so it was sitting in a puddle of water.
