Quick question before I go to bed. My P38 is sitting on a tile floor. Typical ceramic tile on subfloor. After reading so much about hearth pads and k and r values, I am wondering how safe my setup is. So instead of a pad, has anyone just added feet to there Harman stove to lift it up off the floor? Seems easy enough to do if I could find some decent looking feet. Just a thought.

It may work but personally, I wouldn't do anything that doesn't meet or exceed what is written in the stove manual. It appears that with the Harman P series stove design that a thermal pad is now required and not just ember protection.
