Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year!

Been happy with my Lennox Country ST310 which I bought last year. Still experimenting with types of wood, placement etc.

Anyone have any comments on how to get a good overnight burn? Firebox is 22x 17.
1. N-W or E-W?
2. Splits or rounds?
3. Oak, ash or hickory?
4. Packed tight or a bit of space for air?

Thanks much!

My third season with the same stove..

1. don't know if it matters, I do mainly EW as it saves saw cuts when cutting my wood to length.

2. both , depending on diameter,age etc.

3. In burn all three, seasoned Oak probably the best. All seasoned at least 18 months

4. pack it as tight as I can about 45 min before bed, when fire is stable(steady secondary burn) at min primary air I'm done.

Always have hot coals in the AM

Longest burn, rounds N/S.
