Question:
I'm having trouble lighting my woodstove - there is a strong downdraft from the chimney. I already have a downdraft cap on the chimney - do you know or sell any product that I can put in stove to pre-heat the stove similar to warming the flue? Right now I'm using my wife' shairdryer and she's getting sick of the soot in her hair!
Answer:
There are no products currently made for this specific purpose. I use a crumpled uppiece of newspaper shoved into the damper area...and lighting this usually does the job. Thanks- though- you've given me the idea for my next invention.
