In 2006 Pennington Seed opened a wood pellet plant in Ligonier IN. It did not do well well because they signed an exclusive deal with Walmart. 2014 the plant was sold to the Mohegan Indian tribe as part of their pellet making operation but it only seemed to produce pellets for the first year. Now as I go by I see a few pallets of pellets and trucks dropping sawdust..Does anyone know who is operating the plant and if they are ramping up production?
