i have a lead on a two-year-old used Jotul Nordic and was wondering what to look at when i check it out and what to expect to pay. i was quoted $1100+ new at a local store so that's what i have to go on. thanks!

I would look for any cracks in the castings and any warped or partially burned out interior cast plates. The door gasket may need to be replaced but that's easy to do. If a new one is going for $1100. + you should expect to pay about 1/2 to 3/4 the price of a new stove depending on condition. Check the local classifieds to see what other similar stoves are selling for in your area.
