I got some maple and beech that seems to be very green. When I put the splitter to it a ton of water comes out and the wood doesn’t split. And if it does split it stringy. Anyone ever have this issue? I’ve split this before with no problem from the same tree service. This just happens to be wet

Sap runs in later winter/early spring, the wood will be wetter until it leafs out.

Rounds will dry but split dry faster. Get it stacked and under cover with the ends exposed and it dries faster.
