In The Woods
This topped off Maple is just down the hill from the area I worked today, I plan on felling it next weekend along with getting the rest of the Maple I worked on today.

Pic 7076 is some bigtooth Aspen that I bucked up last year, I brought it down so I could split it then stack.

Pic 7072 is just up the hill from the topped off Maple, cut then roll down the hill.

That popple ought to be really dry and light now zap. Still should be good though.

Sure is, I still have some that I split that's up there. This week after work I'll start stacking again, that will open up what I call some holding areas for the beech and maple.

The popple area is almost ready, it will be ready by the end of April.

I did grab this maple from up top, once I clear the rest of the downed maple up the hill, I'll have another trail coming in from the lower part in this area.

The last pic is a big old maple getting ready to go.

For sure that last one looks a bit sick. Good to get it down before it rots even worse.

That last one mother nature can drop, it's in an area we rarely use, the tops real rotten too. I did notice that area where I dropped the Maple holds alot of American Hophornbeam, so I'll take about three or four.

your plans are coming together now. By the end of May you'll be right where you hoped you would be.
I got to get that splitter going........got alot of rounds waiting
