I'm looking for recommendations on purchasing a moisture meter.

I've learned to watch for the bark falling off and the wood cracking at the ends to indicate dryness but for some reason I don't find those indications trustworthy. I'd rather approach the issue with a bit of technology so I'm looking for suggestions on what brand and/or model moisture meter to purchase.

I don't want to spend $200 but I don't want a disposable piece of junk either.

Thanks!

My list of equipment so far:
Enviro Venice 1700 Insert providing 100% of my heating.
Husqvarna 266XP
Stihl 017
Iron & Oak 34 Ton Splitter
10 cords of apple and growing.

Search on ebay I purchased 1 from a seller in China and it works really well . Cost only 11.00

I purchased my Meter at Lowes for 29.00 and it works great, I dont think you have to spend 200 for a good meter
