Do you know of any products that will allow us to get more heat from our hearth without installing an insert? Such as a fan built into a log rack ( don't know the correct name for it). or another product we have a large hearth and like it open with a screen; but need more heat

Yes- one product which does this is called the "Grate Heater" - a search on google will yield some current sales information.<p>Another new model is called the Ecofire...see the link below.
