For all you picture lovers, I did a little "house work" on Mother's Day:

initial.jpg

Above: Kind of a partial picture of what we started with today. Larger maple rounds are out of picture to the left. Large chunks of elm to the right and again, more going out of picture.

Above: Using my new 'chop block'.

step2a.jpg

Above: Hubby racking 'n stacking them.

Above: Everything now cut to length.

Above: All done. Got my driveway back. "House work" done. :)

PS I still have some maple rounds sitting on the red trailer.....

Nice and the little 420 looks HoTt!

Nice way to spend the day. Had very nice weather here for mothers day. I got up at dawn went to the woods and cut for 4 hours. I then came home and took the wife out to lunch and got
her some plants at the local green house. Then we came home and I cleaned the house while she planted her new plants. Those hollow pieces make awesome camp fire wood. Put
a whole round in and watch the flame shoot out the middle. For extra visual effect throw a piece of copper in the middle and watch the colors.

Great job , I bet you feel much better to have it all done , I know I would.

SBSC - take it from a dude that has been burnin' awhile. Its NEVER all done. If you don't have anything left to split, it means ya gotta go get more wood.

Heh heh.... There are still some maple rounds sitting on the red trailer and then I also have a small stash of rounds still sitting in the back yard. At least the driveway is clear. :)
