Mt Vernon AE drop tube burned thru

Hi, I have Mt Vernon AE pellet insert. The drop tube burned thru and I am getting fumes in the room. I am trying to find out if the drop tube can be replaced or fixed . The dealer tells me there is no replacement part and Quadra Fire sends me back to the dealer. This unit back in 2016 cost me over $4000 the new ones are priced at $7000 and more. I am curious if anybody had to deal with this kind of a problem. Any help will be appreciated.
