What do you MT. VERNON AE owners burn in your stoves and what works best for you?

I have only burned pellets. The best so far for me have been the Hamer Hot Ones. These seem to burn the hottest with very little ash. I have also burned Energex but was not happy with the ash content.

While I own a Harman (am I still welcome here?) I second JoeS in saying I love the Hamer's Hot Ones, but am indifferent towards the Energex. They didn't impress me.

In MD that would most likely be hard wood Energex.

That's a good point. Both the Energex and the Hamer's are hardwood for me

I have a mt. Vernon comming this January. I purchased Barefoot hardwood pellets from Maine. All hardwood. Any experience with these pellets?

I have been using a bag of Energex the dealer gave me last week to get used to the stove, i dont like them at all. I have 5 tons of Natures Heat enroute and hopfully they will burn nice this year.
