I ordered it last Wednesday from Hillside Wood Heat in Ohio. ( His last one. ) Thanks to Eric from Kinsman Stoves for the referral. They shipped it to Massachusetts and including freight it only cost me $800 more then waiting for the one that I ordered last May. ( 2 price increases plus freight). But at least I have something to burn my 5 tons of pellets in. Alas, my local stove store promised delivery 1st June 23, 2nd mid July, 3rd Mid August, 4th end of October if your lucky. WTF I was 14 on a list 0f 37 waiting for the inserts for that one store. They haven't received any stoves since May.

Bummer that it was eight hundred more than you planned, but it sure wouldn't take long to burn that in heating oil. Enjoy your new insert !

Don't you worry about the warranty and services if needed ? Who is going to come out and fix your stove ?

The same guy that just finished installing it - ME. I am a retired class A master mechanic/electrician. The selling dealer will handle the parts and walk me thru any difficult diagnostic problems. He did say that he honors all warranty on any stove, even if it wasn't purchased from him and he is one of the top 25 dealers in the country.

You bought the stove ion Ohio and the dealer is going to service the stove? Do you have to pay his airfare?
Am I to believe that you are talking about a local Massachusetts dealer? Top 25 in the country??? Could you please tell us who this dealer is?

I will do the repair labor, he will supply the warranty parts. This isn't the space shuttle - 3 electric motors, and auger, a control card and a few sensors. If I am qualified to repair everything in a modern automobile I can certainly handle this stove. Purchased from Hillside Wood Heat in Norwalk Ohio, Charlie Fisher. It was delivered from Ohio and installed in less then 6 days.

Installation ( for those who do it yourself ) . The biggest PIA of the whole job was running the flexpipe and making a sheet metal damper. Use gloves, I have at least 8 little razor cuts from fabricating and installing those pieces. Getting the stove properly installed in the fireplace was easy. Taking my time and having to back track a few times when I tried to take short cuts in the instructions it took about 3 hours. The instructions are good ( not great ). NO PROBLEM MON !

Thanks for the honest replies since I also will do my own installation of my new insert. I was warned about the flex pipe and the sharp edges and the sheetmetal work. I do not anticipate any problems. That will end this thread. :)
