This Korean company makes some very nice homes with unique construction techniques. The rice bran charred insulation was a big surprise. The teamwork is also impressive and note how clean they stay.

Yes, rice hulls are a decent insulator and abundant in many Asian countries. This is the first time I have read about charring them? What does the charring process add to their properties as a product?

I know that the Japanese would char wood to make it rot resistant, so that’s probably why they do the same to the rice hulls.
