Hello everyone, I haven’t been on the site since sometime in August. At that time I was looking for grapple loads and asked for advice. The help I got from many friendly people was much appreciated.

I ended up getting 8 cords for $700 dollars (great deal). Now on to the question at hand. It is the time of year to seal my stove (1977 VC Vigilant 55 thousand BTU hr). My stove burns 24-7 for the entire winter season. In the past I have used Rutland stove cement and other popular stove cement products to no avail. They all seem to crack and fall out after a short time. I have found this product on line BOSS® 139 Fire Mortar. Has anyone used this? Or can suggest a product that is long lasting. Thanks again, UB….

How you use the cement is more important than what type of cement you are using. If you are using the cement to fill gaps in the casting seems, than most cements will crumble and fall apart as the winter progresses. At least, that has been my experience.
