Need help on best way to run the stove Rika insert

First season using the pellet insert , Rika insert with wall mount temp control capable of two hating times per day Question is
What is the best way to run a pellet stove

A do I use the program to cycle on during the heating times and a cooler temp when we are not home

Or

B do I run it to a set temp and let it maintain that setting

I am questioning if the amount of energy required to bring the house back up to temp

Also any ideas about moving the warm air efficiently . Stove is centrally located fans?
