I just picked up a 50 on cl for 60 bucks. I'm trying to determine what chain I need because I want to have at least 2 for it. I will attach some photos of the Windsor bar . The only thing I can make out is the .325 which is a start. Not sure if this is an 18 or 20 but I think it's a 72 link. Any help is greatly appreciated guys!

You need gauge, pitch and number of drive links. The pitch is .325, as you noted, and 72DL would be typical for an 18" bar at .325 pitch, so that's a good guess. The fact that the number 58 appears in two places suggests the gauge might be 0.058". If so, a penny should fit the slot nicely.

Did you try the fit of a penny in the slot?

The 50, 51, and 55 all came stock with 058 guage. My guts telling me whoever replaced the bar probably kept it same guage as stock. Especially since the bar is stamped with the number 58 on it.

Like Jon says did you try the penny ?

(A dime is a good feeler for .050" gauge, and a nickel works for .063")

A dollar for coil gap
