Hello members been reading and doing research on here for a year or so. Now I purchased a Harman P35i and installed it a month ago replacing a rubbish pass through fireplace. The P35i will be my primary heat source and thus far is showing to be more than adequate (granted it didn’t get cold yet).
Living in Central Texas (Bertram) my source for pellets is very limited TSC softwood so I’ll leave it at that the pellet stoves aren’t popular down here.

The install
Used the ZC can, I used the existing FP outside air but decided to use a Tee and added a 3” flex to roof exit in combination to 6” crawl space exit. Vertical 4” PL pipe exiting roof 10’ total run. Then I just used drywall, OSB, and brick paneling for ascetics. I have a space pre-set for an uninterrupted power source which I’d like some advice on. Looking for about 4-6 hour time in case power outage happens when asleep and I can’t get to generator because I’m sleeping.
My current generator is a Predator 9500 which powers 90% of my house but it isn’t an inverter generator so second question is do I need an inverter generator or would the big “construction” generator work?
Thanks

If it is your primary heat source, I would go with a inverter generator for the stove. Or another option is a pure sine wave inverter just for the stove. That way you do not need to have a second generator.
I prefer the pure sine wave inverter but would need to know if it’s always working. My generator powers the whole house through a distribution panel, so the outlet that powers the stove would get powered by the generator during outage. So the inverter would have to be always present I think the word I’m searching for is passive but not certain.

Bob11b, very nice install! I use both, a large Gentron 10,000 watt gen for the house and a Ryobi 2200 watt inverter gen for the stove. Make sure to use a good quality surge protector for the stove also! Got to take good care of the stove's electronics! Or you will be pulling that nice install back apart! I also unplug my stove anytime it's not in use.
