A friend cut down an White oak and I picked up 1/3 of the load. I also started splitting it. I know I know it will make nice heat in 2 years.

Is that a metal stain on the round on the left? If so that's a near miss for sure!
 
rdust one of 3 nails I found in the wood. If you notice I struck the wood 3
times on that side. I had to turn it over to get that split.

That was a close one! That big nail would have done some damage!

Darned nice wood though.
 
Those spikes have a very different feel than barbed wire when you go through them. Takes more than a file to clean up the mess too.
