I'm thinking about this area (have to clear out some small pine) for stacking about 6-8 face cord, it gets about 3-4 hours of sun plus wind all the time. The wood will not be burned untill 2011-2012 heating season will it be enough sun?

Not much different than mine. I stack on pallets that are up on cinder blaocks to keep the ordinance folks happy. I stack about 4 cords on a platform that's about 8' x 13' Ash and Cherry are no trouble at all.

Oak gets set on the outside for better drying. I only cover it in September, and then only on top.
