I grew up with the "one saw" mentality (although we usually had 2 of about the same size) on a farm and we did everything with Stihl 034s, 036s and an 038 that was stolen.
I was running an rebuilt 036 until a few years ago when it grenaded the bottom end. I found a really nice gently used 026 that has been a real gem. It was however a little on the smaller side for felling and bucking hardwood (awesome for limbing though!), and as I've been cutting mostly by myself the last few years (meaning I don't have my father's or father-in-laws bigger saws with me in the bush) I've been keeping my eye out for a decent bigger saw.
I found the below on the local classifieds and it seems to be a great saw. It's a close to mint as a used chainsaw gets and runs great. I haven't put it through it's paces for a full day yet, but I look forward to it. I may do a DP muffler mod, but then again from what I've read, they run pretty good stock. Definitely going to get some more aggressive log dogs for it. A full wrap might be nice (not common around here) but hard to justify the cost.
Funny thing is, a few days ago I headed to the bush, but knowing the trees I was tackling that day, I left this in the shop and stuck with the 026.
