Finally took the plunge and bought a quad classic! Wow made a great choice thanks to all the help and infgo on this forum
so here is my problem: I replaced a propane fireplace insert in my living room. Across from my new pellet stove on the opposite wall is the thermostat for my propane furnace. I bought a remote thermostat with the pellet stove.
When I run just the pellet stove the basement stays really cold because the house thermostat never comes on and the heat generated by the pellet stove never gets downstaires, it goes up to the second floor bedrooms...hot air rises...right? If I turn the house thermostat up to heat the basement the pellet stove won't come on..
It appears that without putting a fan on the stairs to the basement there is no way to set the thermostats that they don't cancil each other out.
Am I in trouble or just looking at this wrong?
Any suggestions?
