We got to the cabin this weekend and started a fire in the Castine. (We have only had it 9 months)
After a little while we heard a crack and sure enough the glass had two big cracks in it.
What would cause this? Hopefully, it is under warranty.
Has anyone replaced their Castine's glass. It looks like there are just a couple of clips. Is there more to it?

Wow - I have no idea as to what would do that?? And yes, just a couple of clips for that glass to be removed and reinstalled. You'll need to check the gasket to see if it needs replacing at the same time.

Only thing I can think of is if the clips were tightened down too much they may have put too much pressure on the glass when it expanded from the heat. Has anyone ever fussed with the clips - maybe cranked them down a couple extra turns because the glass felt loose in there when there wasn't a fire going?
