In The Woods
The good thing about today was I worked on a west facing hill with some nice sun, this is the beech in the same are has the one I took yesterday. I winched the first two up the hill then decided it was hard on the winch and battery (not enough room to back the rhino up and pull them up the hill) so I made a trail in for the rhino then bucked them up and loaded about 21 rounds and headed for home plus I still had 8 rounds that I had winched up the hill I had to come back for.

Attached are some pictures of the beech.

Awesome Pic's again.

I thought you usually cut only trees that are already down, but it looks like this one was live and standing. Change of tactics? Out of down wood?

The reason I dropped the Beech and Sugar Maple is because they had damage up top or the trunk was suspect. Most of the stuff that is down I can't get to in the winter.

Sweet set-up. Love your property and envy all the 'work'(fun) you get to do on it.

Zap, I surely wish I had some of that beech. I know you'll make good use of it.
