Hit the lake this morning and saw a fawn come down for a drink. Fishing was great.

Nice heathy looking fish, bw. May I ask what you used to entice them?

Always a plus when you see nature while out fishing. It always adds to the relaxation we have.

What a way to start the weekend!

Well, I always start out with topwater. I used a spook one knocker - love this bait and a Deps Buzzjet. Once the sun breaks over the tree line, I switched to a dark chatterbait with a berkley chigger craw trailer. I caught around 10 or so. Put in at 430 am and took off around 730 am. Not too bad for 3 hours and it was off to mowing grass before the heat set in.

Been really warm lately. I hope it's cooking my wood stacks!
