This looks like Callery Pear. Bradford Pear is a common variety of Callery Pear. This tree is not native but it is very invasive and common in roadsides, woods, edges of fields, etc. It is a pretty good firewood.
 
I would agree with Wood Duck. Some kind of ornamental pear or fruit tree. Super smooth branches and that bark pattern sure make it look like a Bradford pear.....any thorny branches on it?
