A few photo's of the snow storm from last week and the associated clean up

A nice maple on the corner of the house lost about 2/3 of its branches. That tree gave us nice summer shade on the house. Bummer

Across the street. A birch tree took a hit which has become firewood

Got a little splitting to do. Most of the cleanup was branches, got this pile of small stuff. Lots of work from not much wood....but it had to get cleaned up andit all burns....

The one pic of the cut by the garage looks scary. (Near miss)

It wasnt as bad as it looked. The top middle picture (with snow) shows the tree, it had 5 trunks coming out of it. The first 4 were fairly easy to get down with low risk. The last one (top right) was broken about 2/3 of the way up and was leaning right towards the corner of the garage. We put a rope on it (barely see it in the photo) and was able to get it down right were we wanted. I went slow and planned. Cutting near anything that can be damaged isnt something I normally do but this one, with a rope, wasnt too difficult.

Nice work got wood. Cool pics. Thanks for sharing. Are you burning any of that wood this year? Those small rounds should help add some heat to a fire this winter.
