My neighbor had an oil burner put in a few years ago and he tells me he sometimes smells burnt fuel fumes in his home.
I was going to extend his metal chimney another 4' to put it well above his roof peak when i also realized that the pipe coming off the top of the burner is 6" pipe. When it goes through the attic space it is reduced in size to 5", and reduced again on the roof to 4".
I know this doesn't work on a wood stove and am wondering if this isn't also a problem on an oil burner.
