I'll get there some day. I just have to stop working these long days at the office.

I may buy some heating oil this summer . . . last time I bought some was back in 2008 I think . . . which explains why my heating oil company originally told me that they only serviced their own customers when I called to get my boiler cleaned . . . until I told them I was still a customer . . . just had not bought anything other than propane from them in a very, very long time.

    I'm finally down to a little more than a quarter tank . . .

How long does heating oil last? Any issues with long term (>4 year) storage?

    9. Any contract that you sign must meet requirements under Connecticut law. Any contract for the retail sale of home heating oil (or propane gas) that offers a guaranteed price plan, including a fixed price contract, must be in writing and all terms and conditions must be disclosed in plain language. The disclosure information must immediately follow the language concerning the price or service that could be affected and must be printed in at least twelve-point boldface type. The contract can be for no longer than eighteen months and shall also indicate:

I would drop them and go with a cheaper alternative. I use MIMS for oil....they are a COD only division of TUXIS OHRS. last time I got oil it was $.60 cheaper per gallon than my previous supplier. I think I cut oil from 1500 gallon a year to 250. The money I saved this year is greater than what I spent buying all of my fire needs. Used avalon insert, new liner. used trailer, 4 used saws, bars, chains, gas can, X27, used wood splitter, peavey, hookeroon, files and guides. I still have extra money in my pocket. Next year it lookes like I will save over $4000 as long as I don't buy any more stuff, but I do have my eye on a princess insert.
