bought a house, found old stove in garage. potbelly style, cast iron, 4 removable circular burners on top, cool hinged door on front. unbelievably heavy, at least 150 pounds. stamp on top says "hearth craft; portland, oregon." does anybody have ideas of when this may have been made? Can post response here or email to jamescab1021@sbcglobal.net. Thanks

Made around 1930. Illegal to install pretty much anywhere in the United States.

Hearth Craft was also the name of a bunch of cheap Taiwan stoves brought over in the 70's and 80's.

Don't know where the Portland came from......maybe the Taiwan ones picked up a name from an old foundry.
