My single wall is has a few spots that the black paint looks thin and a faint red color is showing. It kind of looks like rust, but maybe a primer paint. Has anyone ever painted the pipes? What paint did you use and issues did you have?

Thanks Tom

Stove Bright paint holds up very well. Flat black will do the trick!

I have also had good results with Stove Bright and I think that is specifically what my stovepipe manufacturer recommends. I have seen some other brands basically gray out over time and that looks a little weird but so far I haven't had that with the Stove Bright.
