So the resurgence of the domestic market has discouraged all but the largest pellet makers from exporting to Europe and Asia. Seems like good news for us here in domesticville.

Interesting. Never heard of them. I do wonder how cheap corn will impact wood pellets.
 
Here in New England, you can buy super premium douglas fir pellets for less than the price of corn.
 
I don't know about now but I bought mine back in April. Im only about 6 weeks away from starting my inquiries for next year's stash.
 
First year burning here, most often repeated number was an average of a "bag a day" so that's what I got, a little over 4 tons. Looks like I'll need maybe another 1/2 ton, which is no bother grabbing up to 15 bags in my car, I'd just like to experiment with some decent pellets to see what sort of numbers I'd get.
 
I bought 6 tons of DF's last year. At this rate, I'll have enough left over for all of next year.
