    Question:

Howdy. I am planning on relocating to Idaho this summer and have heard a lot of people suggesting pellet stoves: they are warmer- more efficient- better for the environment- etc. What is your scoop on these? Are they just another gimmick ? I honestly and respectfully think so...

    Answer:

If you live real near a Pellet plant (good prices) and if you can service your own stove (they need regular service)- and if you don't mind that they need to be plugged in to work- then they could be an option. However- Pellets don't grow on trees- and you won't find any on the side of the road after a storm Newer EPA woodstoves are just about as clean as pellet stoves. Craig
