    I Picked up a cant hook & heavy duty log jack (solid steel bar), and got another funny looking deal,(last pic) I guess is a log jack, don't know if that will work or if I will use it , but the guy gave it to me free

    After using it today I'm not sure how I feel yet, I used the cant hook too and like it

    Looks like it works. Lifts the log pretty high.
    In the wood like that I don't know if it's needed.
    Might could roll the log with the cant hook onto some limbs & be able to cut without hitting the dirt.

    What's your take on how useful it is?
    I got that attachment for my cant hook to lift logs because I do allot of cutting on a gravel road.
    Not used it yet, usually I cut 7/8 thru & roll the log to finish when I can.
    Got the log lift for the times I can't roll for what ever reasons.
    The few times I nicked the gravel road, I wished I had one. Hope it's useful.
