Hi everyone, getting ready for our 3rd winter of full time burning here in Michigan. Ive been reading and looking at a few other pics and I started thinking. Did we do our chimney install correctly?? We read over the instructions at least 20 times, so we were pretty confident. But, Ive never seen another install the same as ours.
Doublewall stovepipe - cathedral ceiling - 12ft of class A chimney with roof supports.
We brought the Class A chimney down past the support box approx. 1-2" then did the connector to the doublewall pipe. We've never had any issues just wondering if its correct to extend the class A into the room. We scuffed it up, cleaned it with TSP and then spray painted with stove paint. Anyway, would love a critique. Husband and wife install.....we wheeled it in ourselves, picked it up onto the heart, and did the rest to finish!
