Long story short a truck ran off the road and hit a tree on my property, took a big chunk out of the base. The tree was right next to the power lines so they came and cut it down for free and left me the wood to burn. Here are a few pics, the bark is throwing me off cause it changes pattern, I split a piece off and there is a shade of red in it. The bark is a little different from the last red oak i split. Any ideas?
