Say there is a power outage. Is it ok to keep my BIS Tradition cranked up even though the blower won't be pushing the heat in to the house? I have been toying with the idea of putting that breaker on a transfer switch panel and buying a nice little 2kW Honda generator to run the fridge, stove and some lights. Thoughts? Thanks. Love the forum.

Normally should be fine. Check the fine print in your manual to make sure they don't have any special procedures.

Not sure, but you should get the exact power requirements before you buy a generator. 2000 watts might not be enough.
