Cool.

Tossed on some splits and fired up the 1500w inverter
when we got home. It's enuff to run a power strip even
tho we can't pump water. Used the pressure in the system
to fill the water jugs and a milk jug, then we use the pondwater
for the flush tank and have a rainbarrel too. Luckily there was a
thaw today.
Next after enjoying a woodstove heated coffee, is to disconnect the strip to run
the fridge, then back to recharging the craptops n' gadjets and shut off the truck.
Luckily it hazza full tank, but we keep the 5 gal gascan on hand for days like this anyhoo.
Helps to have the KLR and it's 50mpg at the ready, snowtires and all.....

Apocolypse ready, and chillin' with the fam,
Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeap

Well you shouldn't be short on water anymore, it's raining cats and dogs here in southeast Michigan.

Yeps, Sodbuster.
We got nailed HARD for a few minutes and the rains lasted 1/2 day in drizzle form.
The roads needed a good cleaning anyway. Power was back at dawn, and luckily
there's some splits under cover.

PS. We have the same dog. LOL
We love our nutcase Ailah.
She's an American king tho. Tall n' skinny, lighter shaded paintjob.

Being on a rise kills any flooding possibilities too.
Swampy area big time tho. No scrounging until some dehydration goes on.
Puddles in yards, water crossing the roads a bit, slop all over the place currently.
Indiana's not ALL flat. lol

KLR?

Do you really drive that in the winter?

I've got a KLX, it doesn't go anywhere from sometime in November to sometime in April. Even if I had studded winter tires, pretty sure it would be staying put. (Not even thinking about the road salt issue...).

Definite sense of adventure there. :)
