My Dad has a 1300 SF house that has propane for heat and also cooking gas. Natural Gas is not available (Actually it is but they want $30,000 to run it a quarter mile to his house, so forget that). The boiler is shot and I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations.

    Thanks

Depends on his budget. Propane is high. Perhaps it is time for a look at wood heat if he has the time to keep a fire. If you replace the boiler, you may not need to match the size of the one installed in his house. The original may have been over sized or the house may have been insulated/improved since the boiler was installed.
