Having an issue with my new CB1200 - (installed about a month ago).

At night, I will top off the hopper, but wake up to a cold stove. The pellets seem to feed from the middle of the hopper directly to the auger, but the pellets on the sides of the hopper are stuck - almost as if they are packed into the corners.

I'm burning Cleanfire Pacific (woodpellets.com) which seem to have a lot of sawdust in the bags. Is it possible that the dust is not allowing the pellets to slide down the steel hopper?

I've also read that some folks will 'grease' the hopper with non-flammable materials. Anyone had any luck with this?

Appreciate any input!

Don't laugh it works great. I rub wax paper in my hopper walls a couple times a year and it keeps the pellets sliding down I read the tip on here a few years back

Usually hopper design is responsible for this. Some folks have tried duct tape on the bottom angled portions of the hopper, some spray with Pam.

Dust may contribute to the problem - generating a static charge?
