Quick: Can Class-a Chinney be flush with thimble?

As pictured, is there a set amount that the chimney has to protrude into the room? This is all I’ve got until I attach to the double wall stovepipe.

Sadly the manual does not specify far wall protrusions. It only specs for ceiling protrusion of 3 inches.

Anyone else have a recommendation?
Contact the manufacturer and ask them what the spec is. There has to be one
 
As a guess, I would say probably no due to the clearance requirements of the stovepipe connecting to it, but the class a chimney pipe mfg. has the final say.
