Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.
We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.
We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
My stove requires 6" of the hearthpad to extend in front of the stove. Does the pad have to go all the way up against the wall for a corner install, such that the exiting stove pipe (straight shot install) is protected by the pad as well?
regardless of the stove manufactuirer, do you have to have floor protection between the stovepipe coming out of the stove and the floor? Assuming laminate/wooden flooring.
