Put my new bricks in my 2400, ready to go. Noticed that there are some gaps in the bricks, ended up cutting the partial pieces a little bigger so it would fit snug.

Then noticed this picture on a local one for sale, have 2 partials at the far E&W walls/floors. Are those necessary? Sort of figured that it doesn't matter if there's small gaps since they'll get filled with ash eventually.....
 
I don't have one I can check, but here is the brick layout with sizing.
