I've owned a lovely Lange 6303 double chamber stove since 1975. Many of the seams now need recementing. Any ideas about how to go about this? what product to use? Are there any craftsmen in the Albany NY area who do this? Thanks!

The construction should be quite simple. Usually these stoves are thru-bolted with rods in each corner. Or the top is simply bolted to the sides. Look for this on the top or bottom for screw heads or bolts. Once these screws or bolts are removed the top should come off, then the sides. Use furnace cement for sealing the seams.

I think there was a fellow in New Hampshire(?) that did rebuilds but don't have his address handy right now.
