replacing zc

going to have to replace daughters zc.just wondering if i can slip it out and put in new one or do i have to open up the fireplace to get it out

Usually requires cutting it and separating it from the chimney and to do that you have to take apart what's above the the fireplace to get to everything. I just went through all of that 2 years ago and this is the end result
