Reviews on the Lowes site seem to run hot and cold... users either love it or hate it.

I was hoping for some advice from some with a clue who owns one- impression from Lowes site is that any idiot can buy a stove and burn whatever and then gripe about it.

Best way to find stuff on it is to use the advanced search here for time period "all" and search for Century stoves. Lots of them have been installed by users here back before the assets were sold in the bankruptcy of CFM Corp. In fact the moderator here fossil has one in his workshop. It is the one two sizes smaller than the one you linked to.

They are a basic EPA plate steel heater. One drawback to the small ones at least has been the welded in steel baffle and burn tubes. Don't know what kind of baffle the 2200 cf model has in it. You can bet the new owners haven't changed anything other than cosmetics because EPA and UL re-testing would have cost them a fortune.

Maybe some Century owners will see this thread and give you some info.

Edit: I just looked at the manual for the 2200 and it looks like it has a removable ceramic baffle and burn tubes. Makes for easier maintenance.
