This burner is obsolete, I am able to find the ceramic plates for the burner, it requires 4 ceramic plates. I ordered a gasket, which I thought would be finished. I was sent 1/8 material called Warawool, I think.
Hear the original gasket was pressed fiberglass. Will this wool material work so I can rebuild the burner without worry.

Likely Kaowool, or a form of ceramic paper gasket. Effectively works the same as the old Fiberfrax gasket. Also seen similar products called Lytherm. In many cases, it is indvidual producers each calling their version something unique, to give that brand effect. Always ensure it goes in like the old, and I would strongly recommend a good parts per million CO test be done once changed and the unit's had a good burn in period.
